Lucy Valentine is a multi-talented performance artist and organizer. They are an independent, entrepreneurial creator working outside of productivity-driven systems that value products over people, focusing on performance art and crafting. Lucy has been making art in about five different ways since they were twelve. Everything about their artistry journey has been informed by identity and family. Though storytelling and learning, Lucy has found their place as a performance artist and organizer.
Lucy says of their work, “When it turned out that not only was I not a man, or a woman, that I wasn’t straight either, and that blackness capsules all of this I started to understand that art is the place where you make sense of it. So now I write furiously. And learn to speak up and live the ferocity with which I was born.”
