Poet and Musician

Nonbinary intersex beauty,
they/them or she/her.

Elena Hight is a queer intersex storyteller, songwriter, and activist. Originally from Oklahoma, they grew up under an expansive sunburnt sky. As an artist, scholar, educator, dog parent, gardener, and wanderer, they continue to search for that vastness by using their work to expand our understandings of what it means to be here, in this body, and in this continual relationship with others and this planet.

Their work has been featured in Mic.com, Sociological Imagination, Upstage Stigma, and Rooted in Care: Sustaining Movements among others. Whatever they are doing though, you can expect to find them figuring out ways to open space for deeper conversation and connection.
